... Alex Glasgow passed away on 02/04/01. He was the
ISA Niagara Frontier Section President in 1985-1986. Here is the
obituary as it appeared in the Buffalo News.. GLASGOW - Alexander 2/4/01 LEWISTON - Alexander Glasgow, 77, a retired instrument engineer and Lewiston resident, died Saturday (Feb. 3, 2001) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, he graduated from Niagara Falls High School and attended the University of Buffalo. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Glasgow worked as an instrument engineer for Occidental Chemical Co., Niagara Falls, for 45 years until his retirement in 1995. He also was co-owner of Varsity Sporting Goods for 27 years. He was a member and past treasurer of Pierce Avenue United Presbyterian Church, where he was Sunday school superintendent and a teacher. Glasgow also was a member and past president of the Instrument Society of America, Rainbow Computer Users Club and a past member of the Lewiston Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Zinkievich; a son, William A. of Grand Island; and a brother, John J. of Lewiston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Pierce Avenue United Presbyterian Church, 1815 Pierce Ave., Niagara Falls. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Youngstown. |

13 December 2000 - In Memoriam ... Ken Rankin passed away on 12/13/00. He was the ISA Niagara Frontier Section President in 1975-1976. He received a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering @ University of Michigan and worked for the O.R. Lawrence Company in the 1950's. Ken retired in the 1980's and was honored as one of ISA's Past Presidents during the 2000 Holiday Membership Banquet. He was a resident of Orchard Park, NY. |
