| ISA-Niagara Frontier Section currently has openings for the following positions on our executive board. If you can spare just a couple hours a month, you'll be rewarded by the experience of working to benefit your organization and the 300+ members that it serves. You will become acquainted with others in the field of instrumentation and gain the experience of working with a professional service organization. In addition, you'll enjoy our monthly board meetings where we review and plan our upcoming programs and events over some munchies and a few drinks. Finally you'll be welcome to partake in our annual board outing with your spouse at no cost. If you have an interest in contributing in any of the following areas, please contact any board member. |
| Secretary (for 2007 - 2008 Administration) - This individual will serve on the executive committee of the board of directors. Responsibilities include taking minutes at board meetings, distributing minutes to all board members, and reading past meeting minutes at board meetings. Position often leads to sequential duties of Treasurer, Vice President, and President. This is an elected position. Balloting and voting takes place in the spring. |
| Transmitter Advertising - Solicit advertisers for the "Transmitter" newsletter, collect revenue, relay advertising materials to newsletter editor. |
| Naval Park Museum Committee - ISA-Niagara Frontier Section is working with the Buffalo Naval and Servicemen's Park on a project to identify systems aboard the ships and identify the local companies that were involved with the equipment and construction of the ships and systems. We are currently looking for volunteers and a chairperson to coordinate this community involvement activity. |
| Workforce Development Committee - Work with local organizations that are interested in tapping state grant monies for training in hands-on vocational endeavors targeted towards instrumentation. Contributes to advertising, promotion, and solicitation. |
| Directory committee member - The Directory Committee is seeking volunteers to assist with solicitation of potential advertisers. Responsibilities include telephone and e-mail follow-up with potential advertisers and attendance at monthly directory committee meetings. |
| Directory Editor - Overseas publication of the annual Member Directory. Responsible for mailing advertising solicitations, revenue receipt, advertising material handling, and desktop publishing management. |

Standards and Practices Chairperson - The Standards and Practices chairperson has the ability to review and comment on new or revised ISA standards. Additionally, this individual assists other section members with obtaining Standards and Practices information from ISA national headquarters. |
