Steam Trap Inspection Interval and its Impact on Energy Costs, Steam System Reliability and Safety

Steam traps are essential to proper functioning of your steam system and may ultimately affect production throughput and quality. Routine inspections are an important part of ensuring that trap failures are addressed to prevent larger issues. This paper will discuss the proper steam trap inspection intervals based on the potential for lost energy and further impacts to your steam system if steam traps are not properly maintained. New technology that allows the most critical traps to be monitored automatically in real-time will be described.
